OCCUPATIONAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION, AGGRESSION MANAGEMENT AND FRONT LINE ADAPTIVE COMMUNICATION (FLAC) PROGRAMS
Programs are designed to build capability in front line staff managing situations of confrontation and aggression and to prevent occupational violence. Programs are face to face with eLearn options available and course duration is either 4, 8 or 16 hours.
For all health professionals, PCC provide both managers and first response code grey and code black training programs to equip staff to manage dangerous incidents of aggression within the health environment.
This 5-day program affords organisations a negotiator response capability and provides selected staff with the skills to attend high-end negotiator incidents. The course is the first of its kind offered outside policing agencies and allows for full integration with existing police negotiator units.
The Incident controller program is 16 hours in duration and trains staff to perform level 2 incident control. Participant’s learn to work with an incident management team in response, resolution and recovery of critical incidents occurring or likely to occur within their working environments.
The AST (induction and recurrent) Course provides skills for aviation industry staff that complies with Aviation Transport Security Regulations (ATSR) and International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) requirements whilst conforming to company UOF approach, operational requirements and stakeholder expectation.
The advanced driver awareness and perception training course (adapt) is designed to increase driving skills and safety. The 5-day program provides a proven system of car control and is delivered by a team of emergency service driving instructors with a wealth of experience in both training and operations.
Defensive and last resort tactics courses are built in close liaison with the client ensuring that there is a valid need for such training and that the taught application is appropriate. Programs all include use of force legislation and relevant internal policy.
Pro-Com offers a range of human behaviour programs each designed to fit the needs of the working environment and challenges faced. Behavioural detection training has been delivered across several industries including hospitality, retail, compliance and sport with tremendous benefits to affording safe and secure environments.
Pro-Com has recently launched a manual handling training program for prevention of injury in the workplace that is unlike any other. More than 6 months in design and development, this state of the art 8-hour course has been built by a team of leading physiotherapists, osteopaths and sports physiologists together with paramedics and experts from the operational healthcare sector to educate staff.
A little about the person behind the company
John O’Neil presents from a military and policing background. Of his 26 years with State and Federal police John spent more than half of his time in the field of Police Hostage Negotiation. Having attended in excess of one hundred critical incidents as primary negotiator or team leader he joined the Victoria Police negotiator training team. John conducted courses of instruction in the field for not only Victoria Police and the AFP but for the Department of corrections and military reserve forces in addition to providing private service to Department of Health and Human Services and major banking groups. John has been fortunate enough to have trained with … negotiator personnel from the FBI Academy and Scotland Yard and more recently as a visitor to LAPD SWAT negotiator unit and Department of Homeland Security Training facility, Texas. Holding a National CT negotiator qualification since 1996 John has trained with Police Negotiator Units all around the Country and was selected to represent the AFP in the Philippines to conduct the first ever hostage negotiator program for the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
In addition to his work in crisis negotiation John was involved in critical incident management, helping to set up the critical incident response team (CIRT) for Victoria Police as well as spending many years in close personal protection. John has had the privilege of working alongside international counterparts protecting visiting dignitaries such as her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Director CIA and Prime Ministers and Premiers.
His later career has seen John operating as an air security officer (air marshal) and ASO instructor. Prior to resigning from the AFP, he spent four years in the field of behavioral detection, training with UK leaders Profile Aware and Israeli predictive profiling specialists before working with police at airports all around the country assisting to identify criminal behavior and intent.
John and his equally qualified team now bring this experience to the government, corporate and private sectors in order to improve front-line safety and capability.
